Move to the rythm

To me, music is a huge part of life. I'm always around music somehow, whether it's listening to any of the 15000 songs on my iPod (which I swear has become grafted to me the past couple years), singing it, writing it, or attempting to play it on Bass or piano. (Yes, I sing and write music. Ben and I use to do it quite a bit back in the day). I always have music going, and it's become so much a part of my life I cannot seem to understand people who don't listen to it. Hell, I even associate some bands with friends, i.e., anytime i hear a song by a certain band I think about that friend. This can be seen reflected in my writing, as well. For instance, the following bands are always bringing the following people to my mind. in NO particular order:
Bon Jovi, Mr. Mister = Wolf
Sporty Thievz = Golden Eagle
Goo Goo Dolls = Mouse
Madonna = Shorty
Andrew Lloyd Webber = Phantom
Fourplay, Shai = Ghost
Sugar Ray, Korn = Wizard
CAKE, Tim McGraw = DoughBoy
Boney James, Journey = Shaba
Scorpions, AC/DC = Vyper
Monkees, Motley Crue = ElTito
Poison, Extreme = Mayhem
Mystikal, Ludacris = Tramp
Megadeth = DaBoyz
Metallica = Maverick
SW soundtracks = Jedi
Guns N Roses, Slayer = Mel
Mr. Big = Immortal
NKOTB = Erin C and Melanie S
Bel Biv Devoe, LL Cool J = Santiago

to name just a few. If you weren't mentioned for some reason, or don't know what music I think of when i think of ya, hey, feel free to drop a line ;)

Truer Words: from others: Brats

Anyone who knows me knows how true this is. Brats are a seperate and special people, and growing up Brat is the best thing that ever happened to me. It is why I get so frustrated so easily with the typical civilian...shallow and self-centered. Anyway, it is not known who wrote this, but this one, that i stole from an old SAHS friend, is for all my Brats. If you weren't a Brat.....you'll never understand. You may THINK you do, but.... My hometown is nowhere, my friends are everywhere. I grew up with the knowledge that home is where the heart is and the family.

Mobility is my way of life. Some would wonder about roots, yet they are as deep and strong as the mighty oak. I sink them quickly, absorbing all an area offers and hopefully, giving enrichment in return.

Travel has taught me to be open. Shaking hands with the universe, I find brotherhood in all men. Farewells are never easy. Yet, even in sorrow comes strength and ability to face tomorrow with anticipation .... if when we leave one place, I feel that half my world is left behind. I also know that the other half is waiting to be met.

Friendships are formed in hours and kept for decades. I will never grow up with someone, but I will mature with many. Be it inevitable that paths part, there is constant hope that they will meet again.

Love of country, respect and pride fill my being when Old Glory passes in review. When I stand to honor that flag, so also do I stand in honor of all soldiers, and most especially, to the parents whose life created mine. Because of this, I have shared in the rich heritage of Military life.
