Girl You Betta Slow that Mustang down

Hit the Mustangs and Mustangs show at Fantasy of Flight today.
It was a gorgeous day, and a pretty good sized crowd came out for the show.
Unfortunately, to my view at least, about 80-85% of the Ford Mustangs that showed up were 21st Century models, and not near enough of the classic ponys.

However, some of the ones that WERE there were quite unique, like this heavily modified 1968 fastback.

Kermit took the P-51D Mustang "Cripes A'Mighty 3rd" up as the first of four aircraft he flew today.

This Saleen Mustang was on FIIIIIYUHHHH

Look, there goes Mr. Weeks again.

Mmmm. Booty. 1968 Shelby GT500KR
2008 CobraJet

Colonel Bud Anderson, WWII P-51D Mustang "Old Crow" ace and one of the valiant WASPs

Plane #2 for Kermit Weeks of the day, the Curtiss TP-40N Tomahawk

Pair of pretty Ponys. 1967 fastback and 1966 Coupe

General Motors TBM-3E Avenger drops in. This is the first time I have ever seen one fly. This one was on static at Sun n Fun yesterday!
Just a teeeeeeeensy bit modded 1968 fastback dragster

That gorgeous Avenger taxiing

1972 Mach 1

Ford 5-AT-D Trimotor. If you have seen "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", you have seen this exact Trimotor.

1957 Ford Fairlane 500

plane #3 for Weeks, the P-51C Mustang "Ina the Macon Belle"

As Kermit was taxiing the P-51C in after landing, two of the TP-51Ds from Stallion 51 in Kissimmee show up, those being Crazy Horse and Little Witch

Peel-off to land

2010 Mustang

Kermit's fourth plane of the day, the Grumman F4F Wildcat

1973 Mustang. Disco-ey

I leave you with the cockpit of the Ford Trimotor, which I got to tour.
It's been a fun three days, but my lanky ass is tired and I'm going to bed. Since I have no events planned for a little bit, I may not post another blog for a few months, or I may post again tomorrow. ;)
See you on the flipside, kiddies!
